Bill Bridges, 1915-2003, Sedalia
Bill Bridges, 88, of Sedalia, formerly of Windsor, died Monday, Dec. 1,
2003, at the Harry S. Truman Veteran's Hospital in Columbia.
He was born Sept. 11, 1915, in Windsor, a son of Almond Bob and Isabelle
Peel Bridges.
Mr. Bridges worked at the Windsor International Shoe Factory. He was an Army
Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the European, African and Middle
Eastern theaters. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2610 in
Windsor.
Surviving are two sisters, Esther Humphrey, of Sedalia, and Gloria
Kallenberger, of Kansas City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Bob Bridges; and a sister, Annabelle
Nelson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hadley Funeral Home in
Windsor, with the Rev. Gene Ekstrand officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Oak
Cemetery in Windsor. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service
time Thursday at the funeral home.
